Part One of Round Two: Atlanta Apparel

John & Jenn sweater/ Kensie skirt/ Free People bag/ Boot tights from Watsonatta Western World- Boone, NC/ Lucchese Spirit boots

I still can't believe I got this awesome bag for $29.95 from Free People in the Lenox Mall!! I never get that lucky, but it was worth saving up my luck all this time!
Fringe.... I just can't quit you.

I had the awesome opportunity again to go work for Amy J. Hill showroom in Atlanta this past week!  I wanted to show you lots of awesome pictures of the showroom in this post... but I haven't found time, or maybe it's just that I hate the time it takes to edit all the photos.
And yes, I am weird about having to edit all the photos before I publish them.
So this outfit post is what I leave you with until I have too much coffee later this week and decide to go on an editing binge.

Which Is Worse?

Umbrella from Target/ Coat from Lucky Penny- Boone, NC/ Dress from Lucky Penny/ Chico's Outlet necklace/ Boot tights/ Lucchese boots

Please excuse my sad, chipped finger nails.... bloggers are people too.

I really wanted to show my dress off, but the weather was miserable.

Last week, I thought it was lame to have 4 straight days of pouring down rain... but today we have high winds (20-45mph) and it's 14 degrees... and "feels like -6."  So which is worse?  I think I'll welcome back the rain.

The Good News

Earrings from Lucky Penny- Boone, NC/ Free People top/ Lucky Brand necklace

Jacket from Victoria's Secret/ Jessica Simpson jeggings/ Big Budda boots
(Special thanks to Jessica Simpson to making me a believer in jeggings. Here's to being comfy and not looking ridiculous!)

If Cedric's feet look dirty, it's because the night before this picture was taken, he found a deer carcass in the woods, drug it out into the middle of the yard, and ate on it for about 2 hours before we figured out what he was doing.
And if MY feet look dirty, it's because Cedric isn't as cuddly and cooperative as he looks.

In case you haven't seen it on every other social media I'm a part of, "the good news" is that Thursday night....... I GOT AN OFFER FROM URBN, INC. TO BE "SUMMER INTERN FOR TECHNICAL DESIGN!!!!"  I am over-the-moon excited!!!  Excited to learn, excited to live somewhere new, excited to be part of the creative process, excited to meet new people, excited to be done with the school/work combo.... and I can't lie... I'm real excited about that employee discount too!

I am so blessed that God has opened this door for me, and that I had such love and support from family and friends.  I am praying that it's a good experience for me, as well as the people I will be working with and that it will present a clear direction for what I want to do post-internship.

But in the mean time, today is my LAST first day of school!
I have a lot of things to finish up between now and starting the with URBN on June 3rd!

URBN Intern Day

Sorry I have been MIA for so long, but I have be preparing for the most exciting day of my life-- the day I'm about to tell you about.

My interview was at 11:20am this past Friday.
I got into Philadelphia Thursday night around 4:30pm and got to the Navy Yard the next morning around 10:30am..... first time I've ever been early in my whole entire life.
Fate?
I hope.
I let the cab driver drop me off "where ever" once I knew I was close and as soon as I stepped out, I recognized this 25.

It is the 25 that the Free People BLDG 25 blog is named after!!!
HOLY COW! This is THEIR OFFICE! The place I see on the blog, on Instagram... the place I dream of working!

I was wondering around waiting to check-in when I noticed this awesome floating garden.
"URBN"

The building where I did my interview (which went really well by the way) was building 543.
There was a coffee shop inside, and a cafe, and a work out area, coy ponds, bamboo trees, decorated light fixtures, fabric covering some walls, ferns, sculptures.... you name it. It did not disappoint.
The coffee bar was carved out of teakwood and a part of it was imported from India... it was beautiful.
The cranes you see in this picture were originally used to build the ships in the yard.
Me and a fellow Appalachian State Apparel and Design major, Sophia!

I was too lazy once I got back to put my outfit back on to take picture, so I just took a couple close ups.
Free People top/ Necklace from Silver Armadillo- Asheville, NC

Tony Lama boots/ Free People jeans/ Lucky Brand ring

And now for a few behind the scenes photos....
The "wall of sound" in the URBN building.

They don't skimp on the details in their clothes, and they don't skimp on the details in their workspace either. I love it.

My favorite building, the Free People building, of course. (If you follow @freepeople on Instagram, you probably recognize those bins in the back left!!)

Pictures can't even do it justice... it was so beautiful. So colorful.  So creative.

These decorated an entire wall of the foyer..... I wish I would have taken more pictures to share with you, but I was busy being in shock and awe.

Hopefully, I'll be back all summer to share more with you!
I should hear back in two weeks whether I got the position......praying, hoping, crossing fingers.
